Hi! I just joined this list, being a long-time member of the Compacts
list. I have a problem: A month or two ago, a friend of mine spilled
some soda onto my ibook G4's keyboard. Now the keys, specifically those
on the left side, stick and take a second or two to come back up. What
is suggested to fix this problem? Any liquids that won't hurt it?

Andrew

Best way is to remove all the keys and clean the keyboard with a gentle soap and water combo. Let it dry for a good long while. I did that on my iBook, and I put all the actual keys into a pair of socks and then through my washing machine (front-loader, so it doesn't mangle anything).
Be careful removing the keys, it's rather easy to break the little tabs that hold the key onto the arm or lever or whatever it's called. If they do break you can fix it with a sewing needle and a small pair of wire cutters.
