Oh my... Now I am getting a bit nervous... That sort of sounds a bit
like what my Pismo HDD has been doing lately. Hasn`t been a constant
sound though, only once in a while, but it has happened several times
and it is a sound I never heard before since it was brand new almost
5 years ago...

Well I have to say that this has been a very strange day. Here we
are, talking about hard drive options, and all of a sudden, one of
my external drives just started buzzin' like a chainsaw. Correct me
if I'm wrong, but once that happens, isn't it toast? Or is there a
diagnostic procedure I'm not aware of?
