I just got one off ebay and love the machine. I have ordered one of the original airport cards and do not have a base station. But I do have DSL through the phone company and a wireless gateway that is supposedly compatible with macintosh.

My question for now: will I have the ability to get wireless at say the coffee shop with the old airport card? Are there suggestions for a wireless "booster" that would work to make the iBook useful in any room in my house?

I'm sure there will be more questions as I get the airport card and get it installed, which I don't think will be a problem.
