Well, I got my iBook back this week, dropped it off at a DHL pickup
location Friday evening and it was back here Wednesday. Flextronics was
the service provider and they replaced a few things by looking at the
parts list: Bottom case, mobo, hard drive, keyboard, and CD-ROM. I
guess that brings it back to original condition. Except they KEPT my
combo drive, which had been installed last year! Now all I have is this
incredibly noisy LG CD-ROM in there, it sounds like an outboard motor.
Oh, and Airport won't work more than 20 feet away from my DLink router.
It drops one bar when I move it across the room, which is 10 feet
square. Even my old Ti gets about 40 feet, the Pismo gets 100.
