My wallstreet w/bluechip 466 G3 will run many programs faster under OSX than my 800 G4 iBook, even though I have 640 mb ram in the iBook and only 256 in the WS. I think it has to do with the difference in L2 cache size as much as anything. Just speculation though.

I have several Macs, including PowerBook G4, PowerMac G5, iBook G4 and G3.

Today I had to set up and old WS with the BlueChip 500 MHz processor to use with an even older projector (this old projector seems to be not compatible with any of the Aluminium screen resolution).

Well after a year away from the WS (OS X 10.2.8) I noticed it is pretty faster than the iBook G3 500 MHz and not so slower than the iBook G4.

Opinions?
