was able to put them back together and they still worked. However, that
would probably void her warranty. OTOH, my experience is that the warranty
might not be that helpful and will be running out anyway in a few months.
At this point, Apple has made notes in their system that the notebook has had liquid spilled into it. I think the value of your warranty is pretty much up because of that.
I'd try and source a logic board for it and fix it yourself. That or give it back to your daughter and tell her the repair costs and let her learn from this experience.
