I've been using my 667DVI for 2 years as my only machine. The old 7300 is
sitting in the closet.  This is my set-up;

Ti 667DVI, 768MB RAM, 30GB HD.
17" Hitachi CRT 1280x960 on the desk ledge above the Ti.
First USB port has a USB hub that connects the Canon S400 printer, Palm
cradle, and a cable that I plug my Olympus camera into to grab the pics.
MOTU Fastlane USB MIDI interface connected to the second USB port.
MOTU 896 Firewire interface connected to the Ti and a 120GB OWC Firewire
drive connected to the 896.
Ti Ethernet connected to a Linksys router which is fed from the cable modem.
Still have a phone line connected to the Ti as the cable modem is not always
up.
I keep it plugged in when it's on the desk.

I disconnect 7 things out of the back and go. I do have to turn off the 896
before unhooking it. It gets upset when you hot swap it. I want to get one
of those bookendz, but they are quite expensive. A second adapter would be
nice to keep in the bag.

My laptop spends 95% of it's life on the desk. But when I do need to take it
out, it's very convenient.
