Inertia is a powerful force.

Plus, taking them off usually involves some sort of sticky mess left behind that is a pain to deal with.

FWIW my Dell came with only one small "Designed for Windows 2000" sticker on it. Some of the others are loaded down with them, I know, but Dell has much more restraint.
