Well, buy.com has it (the ML-1740) for $50 after rebates,free
shipping. I got it.
I think a $30 UDB print share box (Belkin) wil be fine. And I know
my wife really would use a networked laser. The little HP 5L's are
Ok but the aftermerket repair parts are starting to fade after about
1.5 years and I don't know if I wish to put anther round of page
separators into them, $25 each or so.
Thanks for the right rating for the fuser; I must have jumbled #'s,
I've been looking at lots of of printer info.
I know it will for well via XP, it should work OK via OSX, maybe a
little slower to render than ideal. I print mostly to pdf these
days, not as much to paper as my wife does, so it should work. I
grabbed all the drivers from the Australian support site already. I
think that 1000 pages is about 8 months of home printing, she tries
to do big print jobs for classes at the univ.
I'll post about sharing to OSX experiences.
