I don't have a good working LCD and I screwed up and switched the display to the LCD and now the external monitor cuts out after loading the OS. Anyway
to reset this? Is there an fn key I can't see on the kb? Can I press a
magical set of keys? Thanks in advance!

Mike,

Are you using a Pismo? If so, you can simply plug in a USB mouse and USB keyboard, and with the external monitor connected, boot the Pismo using the USB devices with it closed. Hope this helps,
