New World has the ROM toolbox in RAM, and that toolbox is actually loaded from disk and copied into RAM, where it resides. Old World has an 8 GB (or first 8 GB) limitation on the size of the boot partition for X. New World has no limitation. Examples ... Wallstreet w/40 GB drive, must be partitioned into 8 GB and 32 GB partitions, and the OS loaded into the 8 GB partition. Lombard w/60 GB drive, no partitioning required, entire (and only) 60 GB used as boot partition.
