thanks for the tip, I was not aware that resuming the charging process at intervals could do the trick. I will give it a go soon and will report, although, in my experience, discharging the battery until the PB shuts itself off (not just goes to sleep) is a lengthy process and I can't afford downtime on that machine unfortunately. In my case, it didn't work overnight. Last time I tried, I lauched all (nearly) the applications I have and let it sit that way. Not sure if it was a thoughtful way to act, though...
