I actually just tried that on my Lombard, and I've been pleasantly surprised. It's kinda interesting what homebrew remedies that we Mac users can come up with, given the resources.

Now, if anyone will come up with a cheap way to power my Lombard without an AC adapter for 3-5 hours and without a new 'battery', I'd be grateful. :D

<http://users.erols.com/mshaver/bikegen.htm> :-P I'm sure getting the right DC voltage out of it is a simple matter of engineering...

FWIW, I use "See Clear" eyeglass wipes; I got a box of 100 at Costco for $7 or so. With a couple of these and a lot of patience I was able to remove some pretty serious key maks form my wife's iBook screen. The key is patience, lots of rubbling. very little pressure.
