I used a ipod mini with usb connection and also a nano without
problem with my pismo. (have upgraded to a Ti so i cannot give sync
times but if i remember correctly they were ok).
also Rather than keeping the book turned on all the time i just
bought a usb hub (powered) and plugged the ipod into that for
charging still charge my palm tungsten this way and it is fine.
