www.gimp.org
works with photo retouching image authoring. I have been playing with
Steve - I downloaded it. Wow! Is this complex to someone who has
only been
working with Apple's iPhoto. Would you know a good URL for
instructions on
how to use these tools. Does Gimp offer any help files?
Google for GIMP tutorials...it is a complex program, written by geeks
for geeks.
There's a version that's set up more like Photoshop for menu layout
and such <http://tinyurl.com/7zjlw> This is the whole app,
precompiled for OS X 10.3 and 10.4.
There's also some books, Sams has a "Teach yourself the GIMP in 24
Hours".
