oh joy!
the powerbook (firewire) was more than happy to mount the external 20gig
lacie firewire drive on friday and now it wont.....
i've gone through the extensions, checked my version of silverlining and
checked all the other obvious stuff. the drive itself is fine and mounts
very happily on a g4.
the worrying thing is the firewire bus doesn't show up in the apple system
profiler or in silverlining. a quick check on the g4 showed the bus was
available even when nothing was plugged in.
i've tried everything...... could this be in the realm of hardware
failure???
any suggestions???!!!
