Hello Listers:
I getting ready to partition the hard drive on my QuickSilver 733. For the
forseeable future, all our applications will be running under OS 9.2. I'll
just play with the OS X and OS 10.1 for a while. But I want the setup to
work well as we use OS X more and more.
I'm thinking about one or two partitions for the OSs, and separate
partitions for applications, user data, and scratch (PhotoShop Elements work
space), and maybe a small "emergency" startup and utilities partition.
Should I go ahead with both OS 9.2 and OS X in one partition or put them in
separate partitions? Advantages/disadvantages? If I go for two OS
partitions, should I install OS 9.2 in both, or will OS X "Classic" be OK
with OS 9.2 only in the other partition?
I'm afraid of having two copies of OS 9.2 -- considering extensions and
preferences, would I have to install a set of applications for each?
Many thanks,
--
