As others have said, if you have a Rev. 2 logic board (number ending with
661-2194 on the logic board itself, so open up your B/W and have a look), no
problems with that IBM drive, which is very fast and pretty quiet, too.
*(I have one in my B/W, which has a Rev.1 logic board, so I got a VST ATA/66
controller card, which is excellent, though does not yet provide OS X
compatibility).
If you have a Rev. 1 logic board (661-2104), unfortunately that particular
drive model will probably create problems either in a master-slave setup or
as a single drive. Do check <www.xlr8yourmac.com> under the Drive
Compatibility database for feedback on other hard drives with the Rev. 1
logic board. There aren't many large drives that don't create problems,
though it's best to have a look at the feedback. The best alternative
solution is to get an ATA/66 PCI controller card (VST, Sonnet, Acard, etc.).
Good luck.
