It's been a while since In played with G3DT's but I had pretty much the
same problems with an IXMicro card. I solved the wierd screen lines and
blurbs by using the video card drivers that came with OS 9, instead of
using the ones that come with the video card. The same might apply with
ATI's hardware? Another thing it could be is that your PCI clock speed
may not be set to work well with the CPU & bus speeds. Maybe moving
jumpers around might help. . . . I used to have a table that charted the
combinations, and you may still find it out on the web. . . anyone
remember where this info is?

I used a generic heatsink, and shaved it down to allow mounting a fan on
top, while still being able to clear the case lid. Also, take that
little roundish clip off the case lid that contacts the stock heatsink
to get more clearance- you don't need it IMHO. The important thing about
changing out the heatsink with an aftermarket one is to use the stock
heatsink clip with it. If you use a different one, it may not exert the
correct amount of pressure on the CPU, or it may exert it onto the wrong
place.
