I've been looking for a 4-port PCI USB card for both our Yosemite 350 and Sawtooth 350 and I came across a good deal on the Adaptec 5100 6-port PCI USB card: 5 external ports and 1 internal. It's a USB 2 card, so for the moment I assume no Mac support for USB 2, though USB 1.1 should be okay, right? That's not a big deal for the moment, as I wanted the card to use in place of a USB hub, which can be problematic with my setup on the Yosemite: in particular, an iMate adapter for my Adesso ADB keyboard and Wacom Intuos tablet, and my Logitech optical mouse attached thru a 4-port hub. All our USB peripherals are USB 1.1.
Anyone tried the Adaptec 5100? Anyone know how it works on a G3/G4? We're currently using both OS 9.1 and 10.1.3 on two separate partitions, though we tend to work mostly in 9.1.
