Well you asked the right Question, I have done so much tweaking to my B&W G3, it no longer resembles the computer I bought 3 1/2 years ago. I recommend the Powerlogix G4 Zif upgrade for $299. It will give you a 550Mhz G4 processor with 1MB of L2 cache. I bought a 500Mhz G3 Zif upgrade from them 2 years ago, it runs great and has never failed on me.
The only PCI Video cards you can get are from ATI. Not many PCI based Video cards out there anymore. If you can afford one the original Mac Radeon PCI card is nice. It runs about $179. A sweet card. If not the Radeon 7000 card will do nicely.
