Hi OS10.15 on my iBook is starting up normally but after all the welcome to/configuring network stuff the window goes away and instead of the log in window, it just sits with the deep blue screen. Cursor is arrow and moves ok but machine does nothing. Machine has had NO new software, certainly not the osx network updater of doom, or anything else
what ive done Used CD of X as start up cd - first aid reports 'invalid sibling link, repair completed' however its not repaired at all as if i run first aid again, i get the same message. Disk first aid also reports that the HD is not 'mounted' I cannot install a new system x as hard drive is not showing up , only the osx cd. Have tried 10.1 cd, same result. This seems to be serious. Is all lost? Should/ could i start up from a 9 cd and if it sees the HD erase all OSX? hmmmm maybe i dont love osx so much after all. All I did was restart the ******* Nick -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
