I have a G3 and most of the time I run 9.2.2. Here recently I have
noticed a strange phenomena. I will have two or three applications
open and when I switch from Opera to Eudora or Word things will stop
temporarily. I can see the finder desktop and I have noticed the
icons on my desktop appearing in a very slow fashion (maybe one every
second or two). As if the finder has refreshed the desktop image and
it is really slow.

350 MHz with 128 Megs memory (sharing is not turned on) (virtual memory is off)
17" monitor set to millions of colors and 1020x768 85 HZ.
Rebooting doesn't seem to help.

Am I running out of memory or what?

I have seen this before but it has been along time and I can't
remember what was causing it.
