don't use the stuff from radio shack!  yes, it's similar, both are
designed to increase thermal conductance between a device and it's
heatsink, but the radio shack stuff is on the low end of usable,
suitable only for things like power transistors.  if you use it on your
cpu i guarantee it won't be adequate.  the whole point of the more
expensive stuff having silver dust is to increase it's performance,
which of course also increases the price.  there's a whole range of
compounds available at varying prices, sadly you really want the
good/expensive stuff on a cpu heatsink.
