you might try graphite, available at hardware stores, it will attract
allot less dust and won't evaporate.  if that isn't slick or penetrating
enough, i've had great luck with white lithium grease from automotive
stores, it's thin enough to work into things but doesn't evaporate
quickly and doesn't gum things up.  depending on where you live, you can
get syringes with needles or applicators and use them for any kind of
oil, grease, or glue you like.  even in the most silly areas you should
be able to get the bozo syringes at the drug store meant for measuring
medicines, and they usually have a smallish pointed tip.  syringes are
truly useful for allot of non-medical things.  i just think it's kind of
silly to start having to do a lube job on your mac every few months,
cars are bad enough.  dry teflon lubricants would probably work really
well, i've been meaning to try that myself, it works really, really well
on locks (i've got some in an aerosol spray, i keep meaning to order
some in a jar, it's got a solvent carrier in any case that evaporates quickly).
