Guess OS 9 is NOT free with Jaguar, contrary to my previous information. I got an update this morning:
"If you want to use any older Classic applications with your machine afterupgrading to OS X 10.2, you would need to have OS 9.2.1 installed ahead of time. If you buy OS X 10.2 retail, you can fill out a form in the box, mail another $20 to Apple and receive an OS 9 disk. In looking into things a little further, you can install OS X 10.2 by itself without OS X 10.1 being present. It does make it go a lot faster though." HTH / dave Previously, I reported, incorrectly: <A "Smalldog" told me it does come with 9.2, for a while. Bummer if it really doesn't, I've been waiting for my main application (which brings home the bacon) to get right with 9.2 before switching my Blue G3 from 8.6. Oh well, by that time I may want to upgrade to a Dual G4. / dave watkins> In a message dated 8/19/02 10:28:43 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: << Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2002 18:07:09 -0400 From: R/K Allen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: OS 10.2 and OS 9 Does the OS 10.2 package also include OS 9 ?
