The suggestions re Sound Studio, Audion and Audio Hi-Jack were
useful. I'd be interested if anyone tests "ease of use" compared to QT Pro.

As to snagging the stream, my Beige has Sound Out and In ports, I
have a double ended cable with stereo miniplug on both ends, as well
as Spin Doctor, (for analog recording; bundled with Toast). Simply short
In port to Out port and record away.
