I use a D-Link "Windows Only" DI-704 Router and print happily from the Macs to the LaserWriter connected to the Parallel Port on the router. I used the Apple LaserWriter Utility to create an LPR Port to the IP Address of the Router. Works great on OS 8.1, 8.6, and 9.2.
