Ok I did get it working at like 1 AM las tnight, BUT then I installed the 10.2.3 update and rebooted and, well, it didnt reboot...
so I'm installing again, wihtout the vRAGE 128 card, and with only 256 MB of RAM, as thats the smallest dim I have for a mac around here, I'm gonna try the Mac file system again per someones suggestion.
