This is a great group! Thanks for all the replies. The original question
was:

<<We are upgrading everyone to Jaguar, including the gateway machine.
Sustwork's IPNetRouter for Classic systems worked well because you don't
have to walk to the gateway machine and connect from there first. Any user
on the LAN who launches an internet app causes the gateway to dial in.

Unless I am mistaken, Sustwork's OSX solution requires you to connect from
the gateway machine first. Not too convenient.

Is there another dialup solution out there? Hardware or software based
would be fine as long as it is dialup. And BTW we are too far from the
telephone office for DSL and ADSL is highway robbery for what you get
here.>>

Here are the suggestions (extremely edited):

1. Keep your OS 9 machine and use it as an internet gateway. A good
suggestion. I assume I would uplink our gateway machine to the ethernet hub
in order to do this.

2. Use a cable router such as the SMC router. Many have a modem uplink and
then we don't have to tinker with a gateway machine. This solution looks
like it would leave the fewest problems behind.

3. Use the older Airport Base Station with a built-in modem. I guess I
would uplink Base Station to our hub.

4. Use Jaguar's built-in file sharing. Apparently there is an
"Automatically Connect" option. I am following up on this because it sounds
like it does what IPNetRouter does for the Classic OS.
