I am new to this list serve thing but I am going to jump in with both feet.
I have a BW G3 350 Revision 1. Because of the revision 1 handicap I was told
that there are limits to the size of a replacemnt HD that I can use. I have
a 6G and was told that it would be silly to upgrade and that a second hard
drive would also be small because of a dated ATA controller. I really want
to go with a second drive because I like having 2 bootable operating
systems installed which easily allows me to troubleshoot my main drive from
my backup. Sonnet has a PCI card mounted ATA hard drive and controller with
the capability of using 2 other ATA devices. Does anyone have any experience
with this device, is it stupid to run a computer off a PCI card instead of
its internal bus or is there a cheaper way to accomplish the 2 HD system.
All I get for advice is to go with a firewire external HD and while that
fixes my storage and backup problems it is not bootable. Any advice welcome.

Thanks

Gene
