Hi All. I'm having a problem with my daughter's iMac (Rev A, 233 mHz).
It works fine in every regard except it won't shut down or restart.
When I invoke the shut down or restart commands (from either the
Special menu or using the KB power button) it goes to a blue-gray
screen and just stays there. I can then shut it down with the power
button on the CPU. When it restarts it's fine and does not run Disk
First Aid automatically as if it was shut down improperly. Also,
anything set to run at shut down (such as Norton's directory updater)
runs fine before the blue gray screen. Has anyone else had this problem
and is it a sign of an incipient failure of something important, like
the power supply? Thanks, John Wilson
