 Hi Ted and all; I have a Zip 100 Drive that I bought in '95 or '96 when
they first came out and have had very little trouble with it. It did give
the click a couple of times and I had to reset it. To reset the drive, do
the following:    
 Restart your Mac and immediately press and hold the eject button on the
front of the drive until the Mac finishes booting. Then try a disk you can
afford to lose if the reset didn't work. You might also want to look at the

 The reset has always worked on mine, hope it works on your's. HTH
