Tabs are a wonderful addition to web browsing, and i find that trying browse without tabs sucks. Netscape 7.02 does require some tweaking of the preferences. And it should have a Ram Disc for the cache.

I tried Netscape 7.02 for a few weeks at work (we use Sawtooth 450's running 8.6). I was overall pleased with it despite a few glaring screw-ups with the interface (for example parts of the Preferences pane are still missing since v6), but one day it seemed to forget what to do with fresh URLs typed in the address line. I had it set to remember URLs so previously typed URLs would reveal in the drop down list in the address field, but after it forgot to do with new ones I was stuck.

Hitting Return would do nothing; it wouldn't attempt to seek out the URL --- I had to resort to selecting whatever it's called in the File menu for directly going to a URL and typing it in there.

Did I bugger some setting? Whenever I've used Netscape I turn off "Internet keywords" because it always seems to go to the search engine's results page and not the actual URL itself, and doing so in the past hasn't caused the above issue.
