I tried Netscape 7.02 for a few weeks at work (we use Sawtooth 450's running 8.6). I was overall pleased with it despite a few glaring screw-ups with the interface (for example parts of the Preferences pane are still missing since v6)
What parts of the prefs are missing? Sometimes parts of windows come up wierdly sized and missing but often restarting the program and selecting it again works.
, but one day it seemed to forget what to do
with fresh URLs typed in the address line. I had it set to remember URLs so previously typed URLs would reveal in the drop down list in the address field, but after it forgot to do with new ones I was stuck.
Hitting Return would do nothing; it wouldn't attempt to seek out the URL --- I had to resort to selecting whatever it's called in the File menu for directly going to a URL and typing it in there.
Possibly 'Location Bar Autocomplete' om Navigator: Smart Browsing
But that's weird...and it's ticking at the back of my memory that I helped someone with this issue a while back :-/ just can't remember what it was, other than it was simple. It was a setting of some sort.
If it pops to mind I'll post it.
