I have a B&W G3 Rev.2, OS 8.6 (6GB + 60GB int. HD's, 440MB RAM) and am looking to add an external HD for backup/storage purposes. I am considering the LaCie d2 80GB Ext. HD but haven't seen them reviewed by MacAddict or MacWorld as to their performance and overall reliability. Has anyone on the list used these drives and what are your experiences?I've had a couple of LaCie's that I haven't been that happy with (older models, one SCSI, one Firewire). But I bought "reconditioned" ones (not doing that again). The SCSI one died once, got repaired, and then died again. The firewire had been working well until this evening, but I think that's a system problem.
