Just as a follow-up for you G-folks, this combo works fine, though the 500mhz ZIF only runs at 450 due to the bus limitation in my 7500. I just reset the dip switches on the carrier card for 500mhz, popped it back in and it worked. Out of curiosity, I even installed the Sonnet Encore/Crescendo software, which didn't seem to make any difference, but also didn't hurt it at all (as far as I can tell). No crashing and very zippy!
