Under what OS? I had an Xclaim TV in my B&W when I got it and it worked fine with the original Rage 128 under OS 9. OS X wouldn't install with the Xclaim in place, so I pulled it and haven't tried it since. I subsequently tried it in my G3 upgraded 8500 with no luck--the Mac wouldn't start up. But, I've never tried one in a Beige under any OS.

As near as I could tell, the problems had to do with the Xclaim and the Rage (and most any other ATI card) using the same drivers/extensions. This seems to cause a conflict as two different pieces of hardware try accessing the same software and memory registers at the same time.

Unless you have a need for the tuner module on the Xclaim, I wouldn't bother with it. The 7000 has analog output, so you don't really need the other card.

James, do you know anything about using ATI Xclaim TV with a Radeon 7000
card on a Beige?

I am having trouble getting mine to work after installing the Radeon 7000.
