Visited the Mac OS X FAQ web page, great page...
They have some posts for performance tunning Mac OS X for older hardware
I serously increased Mac OS X 10.2.6 on a a 450 G3 B&W by lowering the color resolution from MILLIONS of Colors to THOUSANDS of Colors. I also disabled the font smoothing within the control panel but I did not see a performance increase and the 8 point font's looked terriable.
Best OS X tips so far that I have used
1) Lower the desktop color resolution
2) Overclock the Processor (do at your own risk)
3) Increase your ram... 128 Megs doesn't cut the mustard, can you say "SWAP FILE"!!!
Any other suggestions?
Brian
