Why no SCA?

SCA is a disk connector, not a card connector. It's for easy swaps in enterprise systems.

<<7200 rpm will be the slowest you'll find. 10K rpm is available in
reasonable
sizes, 15K rpm is becoming available.>>

So there is a noticeable difference with faster rotational speeds?

It's a waste of time and money getting 7200 drives. If you're gonna put the cash into SCSI, do it right.

<<Unless you're willing to spend an outrageous price per gigabyte, 18 and 36
GB
drives will be your main choice, with 72 GB and larger drives also being
available at a big premium.>>

Even 9GB is fine for me.

Then get a 15000 rpm. I think the smallest is 18 in that though, but if you dont need a huge capacity, put the money into a 15k rather than a 10k. It's noticable.
