Greetings all,
New to the list.
I have a couple of queries I wish to run by you - any help much appreciated.
1) My CD-ROM drive (24x Atapi Apple ROM) in my beige G3 tower suddenly
refuses to read home-burned CDs. Reads commercial ones fine, but ones I burn
w/ Toast 4.1.3 don' get read, instead generating the error dialogue "This
disc cannot be read. Do you wish to format?" with an Eject and Erase button
selection. Taking the same burned CD to another Mac yields a successful boot
up and copy from. I'm running OS 9.04. Any thoughts?...

2) On my B+W G3, I have OS 10.2.6, freshly installed by the seller. His
name is, of course, listed as the administrator. Can I change this, short of
re-initializing the drive and doing a full install?

Many thanks to any consideration.
Best regards,
Dana
