It supposedly has something to do with chip density.
I am using a full load of PC 133 256mb ram in 2 Beiges, One MT and 1 DT. The thing that you must look for is the stick must have modules on both sides. If modules are only on one side of the stick the Beige will only recognize half the advertised.
