RE; I did and still use play it cool in os9, I did not like the volumn 
adjustment in quicktime,and in general players were just plain flakey I 
thought, as compared to them in osx,and I think real player still 
sucks,it just hangs there once open and does not want to close. just my 
opinion

No such thing.  Players are evil, all evil.  :)   Essentially, Players 
are just alternative GUIs to QuickTime, that's all.  I use one called
