well, gee. in addition to repairing things for years, i've also designed
things, things that went into equipment our company sold that went for over
$250,000 and which were mostly exported. i've seen all the catalogs from the
people who make heat sink compounds, and heatsinks. what you've seen was either
from some brain dead sudo-tech, or actually the thin adhesive film thermal
compounds. there are now dozens of heatsink compounds and insulator pads, both
adhesive and non-adhesive. i've had "real" jobs, and i do actually know what
i'm talking about. but feel free to shorten the life span of your equipment
anyway you like. do you honestly think those clips don't cost money and that if
they weren't necessary manufacturers would still buy them and use them in a
commodity market like pc's? not likely.

Philip Stortz--"Only love can kill the Demon", from Natural Born Killers, the
American people and Government would be wise to heed that simple Wisdom. Blood
Shed feeds the demon and makes it stronger, Love and Forgiveness starve the
demon. hatred and violence are the demon. It's a good movie, if you can
realize it's a farce and know what a farce is....
