Sometimes the CD-ROM drive in my son's beige desktop makes a real racket when it spins up to full speed. We only got it recently from a friend who bought a new machine, but AFAIK, it's the stock CD-ROM drive. ASP reports it as a Matsushita CR-587. Anyone else experience this? Tonight it's not bad, but some days it's unbearable.
