Ok, so I've been living with 10.2.8 on a B&W G3 400MHz for a month or
so and am getting comfortable with it. I'm getting ready to install it
on my son's Beige G4 466MHz which is currently running 9.2.2. It has a
80 gb drive which is already partitioned with one 8 gb sector where I
would put the 10.2.6. However I have several questions remaining. The
beige also has a Wings AV card which is used for AV input using Apple
video player. Can that work in 10 or do we need to run classic or boot
in 9? Will I need to reformat the sector with OS 9? He also plays
DVDs using a hack in conjuction with a Radeon 7000 pc card flashed to
Mac. I've heard that the DVD player in OS 10 works fine but will not
load automatically on a beige but you need to pull it off the disc.
How does one do that off of a 10.2 disc? Anything else I show do to get
ready for the change?
Thanks for everyone's help.
Slightly nervous,
Anand
