I have a beige G3 MT/OS9.2.2/640MB Ram with a PCI USB card installed serving as the host that is networked to a beige G3 DT/OS9.1/128/MB Ram (no PCI cards). I confirmed that file and application sharing is working fine. Unfortunately, the printer won't show up on the DT as a network printer.
USB printer sharing is not installed on a computer without a USB port. You must download the utility from Apple's web site.
