I want to replace my CPU, and have been considering a XLR8 MAChSpeed G4 550MHz fro Daystar, but have just noticed OWC's Mercury Extreme G4/700 ZIF. I'm just uncertain as to whether the faster CPU is worth the extra US$100+, as I don't know if it'll make sufficient difference bearing in mind the Gossamer Mobo is just 67MHz.
Any advice from the wise ones would be gratefully received.
Also, would it be possible to install Panther on this setup?

Disks, Memory upgraded and Radeon7000 fitted, and Belkin 5-port USB 2 card. Running 10.2.8 and (occasionally) 9.2.2
