I thought that the Imagemate 8-in-1 Sandisk USB card reader from our PC would also work on the G4/10.2.8, but it shows no sign of realizing that a card is inserted.
the Profiler shows that it finds the card reader device itself...
Should this be working? There are no drivers for MAc on the Sandisk page for this device.
It could be due to the PC format on the card; I don't see a "file exchange" in OS X... how is this handled?
OS X handles PC format without a problem. I have a card reader that uses the Mass Storage protocol on USB so it needs no driver.
Is there a Windows XP driver for this reader. If there is and there is no Mac driver then you're probably out of luck. If there is no XP driver then it is probably a Mass Storage compatible reader.
