I keep seeing these Pioneer DVD RW's and am wondering if this would be the best for my Mac, Beige G3/500, 512 MB, Os 9.2.2 with 9 & 120 MB HD's?

Is there another popular brand that is is reasonable AND reliable?

I have heard (from appliance dealers among others) that Pioneer CD players are extremely unreliable. If this is correct, wouldn't this extend to Pioneer computer CD/DVD drives?
